Some startling news this Super Bowl week - NFL great Dan Marino has admitted to a fling with a CBS colleague.

It happened years ago, but it produced a secret lovechild. The child, Chloe, is now 7 and lives with her mother, shown right.

Marino said in a statement, "This is a personal and private matter. I take full responsibility both personally and financially for my actions now as I did then. We mutually agreed to keep our arrangement private to protect all parties involved."

The "we" in that statement involes Donna Savattere, who was a production assistant at CBS Sports. Marino is a pregame analyst for CBS, where he's worked since 2003.

Marino allegedly paid Savattere millions of dollars in exchange for her silence.

Now a sports analyst, Marino is known as a legendary quarterback for the stats he posted while playing for the Miami Dolphins. He has been married to his wife, Claire, for 28 years.
