There's an outbreak of MUMPS at the University of Richmond and students are being advised to take precautions.
The Henrico County Health Department has identified multiple confirmed cases of mumps among students. There's been at least one confirmed case of Mumps in Lynchburg.
Mumps is highly contageous and is spread by fluids from someone's cough or sneeze.
Be sure to always wash your hands. And don't drink a beverage from someone else's glass, can or cup.
