WSET is reporting that an 18-year-old from Pamplin and a student at Lynchburg College has died in a car accident.
FROM WSET: State Police say Melissa Smith passed away following an accident on Wheelers Spring Road Sunday afternoon, about 3:15 p.m. According to investigators, Melissa ran off the road and overcorrected, later hitting an embankment that caused her car to flip. Police said she was not wearing a seat belt. Melissa is from Pamplin and was a junior at Lynchburg College.
