One day before Mindy McCready was found dead on her front porch, of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, she sent a friend/ private investigator a cryptic message. It was a single frame from a video they had been working on together of Mindy singing a song called “I’ll See You Yesterday.”
“I thought she was talking about sending a message about suicide for [her boyfriend] David’s death,” Danno Hanks told E! “but this is unbelievable. She was sending me a message. I wish I had been more alert to what it was.”
E! News reports the song was David's final effort as a producer before he died in January. Listen as Mindy sings the lyrics [Click Above]. The song was written by Courtney Dashe, a songwriter Mindy had worked with recently.
Hanks believes Mindy sent the single frame in part to make certain that Dashe would receive the royalties and copyrights to the song that tells the story of a woman afraid to look forward because she doesn’t like what she’s facing.
