The cold weather can makes bones ache, delay and close schools, and lead to driving headaches in icy and snowy conditions.
BUT... there are also Reasons to be Grateful for Winter's Frosty Temperatures:
1)Cold weather burns calories! In a 2012 study, researchers found that cold weather set fat into motion, and the body reacts by burning calories.
2) Cold weather brings us closer. A study done last year showed that cold weather makes us reach out to friends and family more often. Being cooped up in the house leads us to spend more time on the phone connecting with the people we love.
3) Cold weather kills off disease-carrying bugs! Freezing temperatures kill off bugs and their offspring. The colder the winter, the less bugs you'll see come summer.

4) Cold weather brings greater appreciation of brighter days. Research shows that those who see sunlight everyday take it for granted. When we get a warmer, sunnier day in the winter, we appreciate it.
5) Cold weather may boost your body image. Who really loves bikini season? Winter time removes that pressure! Go put on your snuggliest, best comfy sweater and feel beautiful!
