What an amazing Christmas present to a young boy in our area whose only wish this holiday season was to receive Christmas cards from police and firefighters.
These men and women, from near and far, have shown their support by flooding 6-year-old Nathan Norman with cards and gifts. Often, children put life in perspective for us adults, and Nathan is certainly an example of that. Nathan is being treated for brain cancer and lives in Rustburg with his family.
On Wednesday, a convoy of police cars headed down the highway from New England to Rustburg to surprise Nathan. They shared their journey via twitter with photos and even a Live video feed as their convoy arrived to meet Nathan and his family on Thursday.
Here are some of the photos the participating police departments shared on Twitter.
