While on-the-air Sunday, sports broadcaster Bob Costos praised an article written by a sports columnist calling for more gun control.
The article by Jason Whitlock was in response to Kansas City Chiefs' linebacker Jovan Belcher's actions- Belcher fatally shot his girlfriend and later turned the gun on himself at the Chiefs' practice facility on Saturday.
Costos' commentary has since been criticized by many, including Charlie Daniels who tweeted, “Is Bob Costas naive enough to think Jovan Belcher needed a gun to murder his girlfriend. He could have used his bare hands.”
