Lynchburg police are investigating the “suspicious” death of a woman. The body of 29-year-old Amy Connely Hewett was found at a home on Perrymont Avenue in Lynchburg on Thursday shortly after noon, according to ABC 13. No further details were released.

Right around the same time, a woman was found dead at a home on Glascow Avenue in Buena Vista. Police said 56-year-old Susan Smith Khoshpasand suffered multiple stab wounds. They have arrested and charged her son-in-law, Michael K. O'hare, 33, with first degree murder.
O'hare's wife also suffered stab wounds, and was treated and released from the hospital.
In Botetourt, authorities found the body of 43-year-old Donna B. Hahn dead from an apparent gunshot wound to the chest on the porch of a home on Carvins Cove Road in Botetourt County last night, according to ABC 13. It appears to have been a murder-suicide.
The Sheriff's Office found Hahn's estranged husband, James Alan Hahn, 47, dead of an apparent self inflicted gunshot to the head in his vehicle on the Smith Mountain Lake Parkway.
And the body of a woman reported missing five weeks ago from Fries has been found after a boy weed eating picked up a cell phone and turned it over to police. Investigators returned to the area near the Grayson-Wythe County line, where the boy found the phone, and discovered the body of 33-year-old Desia Rae George nearby.
Carroll County authorities took the woman’s boyfriend into custody on Thursday, according to WDBJ 7.
