A Bit About Larry

The Star City is my home.   I began my broadcasting career in 1973 as a junior at Jefferson High School.

During those year's I worked at 1240 WROV, K92 from 1980 to 1992, and in Baltimore, Maryland.

I spent five and a half years at Your Hometown Station - WDBJ7 doing News 7 Mornin' before returning to my deep, deep "radio roots" in 1997.

In March 2008,  I came in third place in City Magazine's "Best Radio Personalities."     I've always said,  I have the best listeners in the world.    Thank-you so much for tuning in every day.   It wouldn't be nearly as much fun without you.

I love doing mornings.   However,  the 3A alarm comes early.   You know what they say, "early to bed, early to rise..."   Well,  I'm still waiting on the "wealthy" part to that one.

My wife, Glenna and I, were married in 1989.  It was the "best thing" that ever happened to me.  That was also our "first dance" song at our wedding.

We have four kids - Snuggles, Kisses, Tigger and Michael (all with four legs and tails.)  They're the purrrr-fect kids.
