In Kansas, a group of mice tunneled into a police evidence locker, found three large bags of marijuana . . . and got themselves HIGH. The mice chewed through the bags, ate some weed, then built themselves a nest made out of marijuana. The evidence clerks eventually found them and evicted them.


Last Wednesday night, a 42-year-old woman in South Carolina was arrested for CHOKING her boyfriend in the middle of the night. Why? Because she was mad at him for HOGGING THE COVERS. She's facing domestic violence charges.  **In the wedding vows, doesn't that fall under "better or worse"?

"American Pie" singer Don McLean has been fined $400 for driving his Chrysler (not a Chevy) too fast through a Maine school zone. McLean's lawyer says he was driving 43 mph in an area that has a limit of 15 mph when school zone warning lights are flashing and 45 mph when they're not. He argued that the lights were off.  The judge decided McLean had been speeding but lowered the $515 fine to $400. McLean paid it immediately.

Carrie Underwood and The Lumineers have been added as performers on the Grammys. Dierks Bentley and Miranda Lambert will do a performance together.   Previously announced performers include fun., The Black Keys, Mumford and Sons, Rihanna and Taylor Swift. The Grammys are February 10 on CBS.

The new Dallas is back with a 2 hour season premiere tonight on TNT.   Larry Hagman appears in six episodes.

Good News Story 

Dave Bell finally has gotten some satisfaction over a 60-year-old complaint about a nut roll. In 1952, Bell was 14 when he bit into a candy bar and discovered a twig. He sent a letter to the Pearson's Candy Company, hoping to score some free candy. Bell tells the St. Cloud, Minnesota, Times he came across a copy of the letter and sent email to the company to remind them of his complaint. Bell says the replacement candy arrived a week ago. And he jokes he's not sharing.
